The Ground Rules
These are not rules I put up for show. This is how I actually operate, and it will not change.
If you are in tune with me, let's go. If you aren't, I completely understand.
1. I get paid when you win. Not before.
If I make you good money, I get paid well. If I don't, I don't deserve much. The 6% hurdle is just the minimum I need to hit before I can charge a performance fee. Nothing is guaranteed here. I just want us both to be clear on how this works before we start.
2. I don't guess where the market is going. I follow a system.
Nobody knows where the market is heading. Anyone who says they do is lying. What I do is follow a clear set of rules and stick to them, no matter what the news says. If you want someone to predict the next crash or boom, I'm not that person. If that's a problem, this fund is not for you.
3. I measure myself against the S&P 500. That's not an easy bar.
I don't care if I'm up or down for the year. What matters is whether I beat the S&P 500 over any 3-year stretch. That index beats about 80% of all fund managers over 5 to 10 years. I know what I'm up against. If I can't beat it over 3 years, I'll be the first to say so, and I'll mean it.
4. This fund will lose money sometimes. If you can't live with that, don't invest.
Our biggest drop was 27.43%. Our worst single month was down 19%, in March 2025. It will happen again in some shape. If seeing your account drop 20 to 30% will make you panic or lose sleep, please don't put money here. I say this nicely, not harshly. The wrong investor in this fund is bad for everyone.
5. My own money is in here too.
My money, and my family's money, follows the exact same strategy as this fund. I am not asking you to do something I won't do myself. When the fund goes down, I go down with you. When it goes up, we go up together. I only earn my fee after you clear the 6% hurdle. So this is personal for me, not just business.
6. I won't update you on every trade. But I will be fully open at year end.
I won't call you every time I buy or sell something, and I don't want you calling me for that either. What I will do is write you a clear, honest letter at the end of every year. If something went wrong, I'll say so. If something went right, I'll tell you if it was skill or just luck. Any question you have, I'll answer it straight.
7. Your money is not in my hands.
The fund is set up in Labuan as Assetswise Private Fund Ltd. (LL22000). Your money sits in a separate account under Silverknows Trust Ltd (LL17321), an independent custodian that holds it on your behalf. I cannot take it out freely. I'm not saying this because I think you doubt me. I'm saying it because the structure makes sure I can't touch it even if I wanted to. That's better than just trusting my word.
8. This is at least a 12-month commitment. Please be sure before you come in.
Your money is locked in for 12 months from the day you invest. After that, you need to give written notice if you want to take it out, otherwise it rolls over for another year. Only put in money you truly don't need for at least a year. If there's any chance you might need it back soon, don't put it here. Getting forced out at the wrong time will hurt you, and it's easy to avoid.
